I don't know much of Hakobune's stuff (he's prolific af) though I've been friggin obsessed with this record. It's perfect to sleep or work to, and the artwork fits the vibe perfectly. I dunno what keeps me returning again and again, but I really enjoy it.
This is out tomorrow and will no doubt be in my top 10 of 2019. Ben Vida - Reducing The Tempo To Zero - Boomkat
Hype. Would love to see peoples' 2019 lists for this genre (even though we did lists a few pages back for the last few years' releases).
Not a 2019 release, but I have been obsessed with this Tim Hecker live track since I discovered it last week: It’s only 20 minutes long (a plus in my book), and the atmosphere reminds me a little of Kara-Lis Coverdale’s Grafts (an all-time favorite).
didn’t listen to a lot if stuff this year but Sean McCann - Puck KBD - From Here to Eternity Sean Curtis Patrick - Best Driving Music Oren Ambarchi - Simian Angel Minor Pieces - Heavy Steps Eluvium Piano Works
I’m really excited to hear this. I didn’t even realize it was coming out today. I hope it goes to streaming services other than Bandcamp at some point..
Bandcamp finally told me to buy it and I thought I did but I'm not seeing my confirmation email anywhere...
Excited to check out what you guys are posting next week, had a busy day today. Also... Tom Krell’s (How to Dress Well) label is putting out this record next week. Sounds amazing. Really hyped for it.
Reading a good book with this playing. It’s storming outside, and the Christmas lights are twinkling in my apartment. Not a bad moment, y’all.
My ambient album of the year is Jim O'Rourkes 4 hour monster trip To Magnetize Money and Catch A Roving Eye.
