Big Ears music festival posted some artist additions today, which included A Winged Victory, Fennesz, and Nivhek. I'm ecstatic about all three.
Not sure if any of you will dig this but it's pretty cool. I got really baked and listened last night.
great ambient release day - still need to listen to Masahiro Sugaya listening to this now is a transcendent experience. their best album in awhile. droney b-sides to the recent OHIO album (that was also excellent)
I thought Hammock’s last one was their best in some time, so I’m looking forward to giving Silencia a listen.
I liked Universalis (Everything and Nothing is also great) but I haven't been in love with anything from them since Departure Songs. This new one just hits different tho.
New M Geddes Gengras! Also saw this one recommended on Twitter, enjoyed it this morning while I was getting ready. RIYL Fennesz.
Gonna catch up on ambient albums today. Started with Ilyas Ahmed's new one. He's collaborated with Grouper and Golden Retriever--and is a member of the post-rock/instrumental band Grails.
Geodaddi by Boards of Canada is a wonderful album yall. So many great memories to this. I remember back when i started smoking and me and my friend were listening to this. Julie and Candy came on and he thought it was extra trippy so i tried convincing him he was asleep and it was a dream. He was nearly persuaded before my sober friend told me to stop lmao
