Here are two other recent ones that I really really like: Lightbath - Selected Public Works Vol. 1-4 More than 2 1/2 hours of modular synthesizer bliss. Link is for Vol.1 Matteo Uggeri - The Next Wait This one is kind of hard to describe, carefully plucked guitars, field recordings, some vocals. Also, this has a Black Flag cover on it!
Digging into this now. Love the Lightbath / Emily A. Sprague collab album from earlier this year, and this seems just as good so far.
throwing it on now. thanks for the rec, man! will let you know what I think. edit - this is damn good. really appreciate the rec.
It’s great, and a track being called The Haunted Victorian Pencil means it’s a perfectly appropriate Halloween record.
I just can’t keep up anymore... v__v ambient classical hip hop jazz metal pop emo rock punk all sorts of electronic music folk country not to mention all music from the past... I don’t know how you guys manage to listen to all this stuff... it’s overwhelming lol
For the most part, outside of wintertime, I really only listen to the higher profile ambient releases. The Winged Victory album is really excellent, and November 1 is such a good release date for it. I certainly prefer it to Atomos, but I guess that makes sense since it’s the proper follow up to the s/t.
This is the best piece of music ever created, imo Also, the creation of the new album; I had the pleasure of meeting Dustin back in April of this year in Minneapolis, for a dance performance he created music for, and at the time he said this album was the best thing he thought he's ever done
not ambient but I am in desperate need of an ambient album that has a similar sonic palate/mood as the instrumental of this track. suggestions?
Check out the new Jonsi & Alex/Riceboy Sleeps album. You may also like Surface by Santilli. Both are recent goodies. I think you'd also like Suplington's two most recent albums. Unrelated, this also recently came out. Droney, buzzy bliss.
Sorry not sorry for the double-post. This is supremely creepy stuff and it's damn good (has some vocals)
been slooooowly (re)exploring Pisaro’s monumental Nature Denatured and Found Again sooooo much to unpack on this one (or five I guess)
