This is also something that came out of nowhere.

 

I've been obsessed with the new M. Geddes Gengras. Really good shit.

This record is also incredible. Treads the lines between neoclassical, ambient, and post-rock. On my first listen now and it kinda reminds me of old school Balmorhea

 

Bump because this is the best music.

 

Went looking for new ambient today but settled on the recent Suplington record and the Jay Glass Dubs / Not Waving collab. Ended up totally forgetting about the new Araceae. The last album was high in my 2018 list, so I gotta remember to check this out.

 

Listened to async for the first time in a while today and fell in love all over again

 

Ryuichi is GOD.

 

Fennesz and Kyle Bobby Dunn are still on constant rotation for me, but I haven’t been hooked by much new stuff. That M Geddes album is the only one that’s really gotten my attention. Are all his albums that good? I had already added the one from last year to my library, but I never got around to it.

 

I’ve only listened to this newest one and Light Pipe. Both are incredible, and dense as hell (the way i like my ambient). I need to check out the rest of his stuff.

very unique sound! will have to explore further but it is captivating
