Vol 1-3 are very enjoyable imo. Although i admittedly feel like im at the Overlook Hotel when I’m listening lol.
Hahaha yep I don’t know how often I’ll revisit this project but it’s been extremely cool to follow and I love telling people about it (well, at least the couple of people I know that are into music like this)
This thread only gets bumped when there are new releases, but ambient is such a prolific genre. There is always more to find, and the further you go, the better it gets. Diving deep into the brilliance of Jon Hassell today.
For those who want more ambient other than Tim Hecker today: Care, by Klara Lewis & Simon Fisher Turner (beautiful drone with themes of duality and dissonance) (new rafael anton irisarri!!! this whole album is supposed to release today but only the single is out now for some reason)
I have the new Rafael Anton in V0 if you want/need it, PM me. Also for @Horrorca : Jerusalem In My Heart stream their new album - The Wire
New Puce Mary and Jerusalem in my Heart out this week. And then there's this; Selva Oscura, by William Basinski + Lawrence English I have the mp3s for Selva Oscura is anyone wants.
@Horrorca Piano Whisperer Lubomyr Melnyk announces new album Fallen Trees on Erased Tapes, unveils new single
This also was released to the public only this week. It's a 1983 "dungeon-synth" ambient album and really excellent.
That Eli Keszler rec is spot on. Also check these excellent albums out, you guys! (full album on streaming)
New Geotic is out tomorrow on Ghostly International and its pretty good. His best work as Geotic to me is Neptune. Abysma last year was decent but Traversa is better.
I post very often! I listen to both new and old ambient every day! I try to get a conversation going in here often- y’all just sleeping ;)
