I just looked this artist up in Apple Music and the album section is a mess of playlists so I’m going to need some direction haha
To be honest I usually just throw on the "Best Of" playlist on Spotify or just hit "play all" and let it randomize
"And They Have Escaped the Weight of Darkness" would probably be a good place to start for a full album
Listening to a lot of post-classical puts me in a very melancholy head-space, haha. I used to love Olafur back in high school but now I can only listen to a handful of his songs. Regardless, if you find yourself enjoying Olafur, also check out Max Richter's Blue Notebooks and 24 Postcards in Full Colour (Infra is also really good).
Currently diving into this compilation which was released today. Features tracks by Bing & Ruth, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Julie Byrne and many more.
Damn, never heard of this guy. This is excellent. Has a really cool backstory too-- seems to be inspired and dedicated to his grandparents and their immigration story.
Any recs for some fuzzy low end heavy drone stuff? Something to gently suffocate me on this humid summer day.
Not really what you asked for but this is truly transcendent droney/neoclassical stuff I just discovered
Listened to these today. Not what I had in mind but good stuff nonetheless. Found this today. It hit the spot.
I have the same problem on my computer, it shows up fine on mobile though. I guess that it is related to Adblock. Edit: Not Adblock, it’s Spotify links that won’t show.
I see the link without a problem, mobile and computer-- it's Ian William Craig's extended A Turn of Breath for those wondering
Watching the Ken Burns Vietnam doc series on netflix and noticed some songs from this album being used. Checked the credits and it says "original music from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross". Anyone know if these were made for the doc or if the album came first?
