Lol yeah, I listen to ambient more than any other genre during the workday because it helps me focus, and also because I love it, so I'm constantly finding great albums to dive into. Be sure to lemme know what you think of em!
Wanted to share a recently discovered personal favorite of mine. Hans-Joachim Rodelius is master at this gloomy weather music. The dude is extremely prolific tho and basically can do anything. I usually turn to his older solo stuff, and the Cluster discography is great too This one in particular is serene:
I listened to the new Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith a couple of times last week. Definitely need to give it some time to wrap my head around it.
Listen to the New Hammock Record in Full and Read the Story Behind Its Creation aaaand the new Windy & Carl. Enjoy the drone
kranky without a doubt. a related note, grouper has taken over my late night listening habits. it has been nearly 2 months since I've listened to anything else while falling asleep. really hoping for another LP soon
One of my favorite things to do last year was smoke and fall asleep to Ruins. but then I discovered that the Harry Potter audiobooks were even more enjoyable and less..morose
new Hammock album, Mysterium, is a beaut. on first listen it's the album I've been wanting them to make for a while (even though I loved their last record). this is far more classical/ambient and dripping with pathos (the album was more or less a response to byrd's deceased nephew)
Loving the new Hammock. Also found this bad boy today. Really beautiful stuff, similar vein to the new Hammock actually. not embedding for whatever reason The Swiss Illness, by Lowercase Noises
