Great ambient album that I didn't know existed til now. Listening with headphones is extremely rewarding as it puts you in an isolated headspace, lots of environmental sounds and synth washing over moaning instrumentation. Just came out last month. These are previews but it's available on Spotify so I think it's on all streaming.
I'm sure the two dissimilar halves will be a source of frustration for some but I kind of like how the album progresses.
Really liking this Jefre album too, he does the "washed in light" thing really well. The thumping beat and guitars make it perfect for driving with the windows open.
Same. I haven't been moved by anything they've done since the Longest Year EP, but I loved their last album even if it didn't have much lasting impact. This new song is a stunner though.
New Roedelius album called "Einfluss" featuring Arnold Kasar. Pumped to listen to it while working later. Roedelius does no wrong. Edit: As expected, it's fantastic
Was going to post this in here but never did. It's such a beautiful little album. Also welcome back! Looking forward to some new recs
I have some serious catching up to do! That side, this is out next week and I imagine it'll be one of the best albums of the year:
no but will do so now listened to this one today and holy shit it's a shoegaze record - a really good one at that
I think my personal fav by them is Maybe They Will Sing For Us Tomorrow, though Departure Songs is pretty epic in a more bombastic and sweeping way. All their records showcase different elements and I can appreciate them because of that.
