Finally getting around to Everywhere at the end of time. Excited to listen to stage two when I get home from work tonight.
Just realized I never listened to Stage Two. Doing so now while working and it's a beautiful descent. There are moments I notice my heartbeat speeding because it's so well-executed, a terrifying concept.
You guys ever check out the Inventions album with Matthew Cooper of Eluvium and Mark Smith of Explosions in the Sky? I discovered it today and it's definitely worth a listen. It's more post-rocky but generally floats on ambience, never becoming too bombastic. Sweepingly beautiful throughout, though
Inventions is pretty good. I liked the second album more, but neither one compares to even my least favorite Eluvium release!
Lots of glitchy ruminations over subtle organic instrumentation with some catchy and brightly harmonized female vocals. Really hypnotizing stuff.
I have been absolutely in love with this album for months. Karima was supposed to play close to here this week, but unfortunately the show fell through.
The album first came out last year on cassette via Baby Tooth (basically self-released) and was available for streaming since then. When the reissue on Orindal Records was announced, it disappeared from streaming shortly thereafter, mostly because it has been remixed, resequenced and remastered.
