Campana Sonans was one of the best ambient albums of last year and now Jake Muir's coming back with an album made outta death/black metal samples? Fuck me right up
Okay I gotta admit something: BoC is a huge blind spot for me. Guess now's as good a time as ever to get on 'em
Ah so this is where the BoC talk is. Thought it was odd I couldn’t see any talk of the new album rumours anywhere and I didn’t think to look here as I’ve never seen them as ambient. But yeah. Made a thread for them… Boards of Canada • forum.chorus.fm
we tend to discuss a lot of ambient-adjacent stuff here too. BoC deserves its own dedicated space though, for sure
Made a thread but the new Kathryn Mohr album is really good. Sparse and grungy tunes interspersed with field recordings. Haunting but I’m not finding it as bleak as the last one which I also loved.
https://www.brooklynvegan.com/grouper-announces-fall-shows-bv-presale-for-nyc/ Gonna try to get a ticket for the Kingston show
If anybody comes across any presale info for the Old Dutch Church show, please let me know. Pretty sure the only presale info out there right now is for NYC.
Holy fuck Jefre-Cantu Ledesma is performing too. I need this presale code Grouper with Jefre Cantu-Ledesma at The Old Dutch Church, Kingston NY edit: code is churchofgrouper So stoked for this
Hey ambient friends we started a new rotation of the weekly album club today. Some folks here may already be following along but you’re all welcome to join. Like a book or film club, a member picks an album each week and we all discuss. Just comment in the below thread if you want to join the fun. https://forum.chorus.fm/posts/7283027
