Forgot to post when this came out but I really enjoy the most recent cinchel release (full disclosure Jason's a bud of mine but is also a very good musician):

 

Would immediately cop if it wasn't $200

 

an 8LP set, damn. seems dope but can't help but feel like getting up to turn the record 16 times throughout the album defeats the purpose

 

I missed out last time and regretted it so I went ahead and got it, but agreed that CD/digital is the better delivery method for these pieces.

I have made it a focus this year to really get into more international and new age / jazz stuff that were previously major blindspots, which means I've mainly explored another side of instrumental music these days. But this album I recently discovered def fits in this thread.

 

Hey ambient pals, sorry for self-promoting outside of the self-promotion thread but this thread feels more appropriate. I just released a new EP! It's mostly minimal synth-based stuff because I either recorded everything live or arranged it with live performance in mind. I like it, I hope y'all do to.
