Hate to say it but that recording of the Narcan training really takes me out of this. Not necessarily the content itself but it just does not work for me here at all. Shame because this would be a near perfect ambient album to me without it.
I didn't read the topic date. Nevertheless, someone who may have the same question may have found my post relevant.
My copy of Yoshimura’s Flora arrived today. Excited to spin it with the windows open even though it’s still a touch too cool
New claire rousay / Gretchen Korsmo collab incoming. The single's tickling my brain in a delightful way
No longer bothers me and it has now been promoted to official perfect ambient album status. Most “hooked” I’ve been on ambient release in some years.
Need to check out the new Loscil and that Captiva album above. here are some not-so-recent albums I’ve been enjoying. For fans of Hiroshi Yoshimura, early Brian Eno, etc. Great stuff recorded from ‘87-‘91. Beautiful and sparse ambient with Urdu vocals, gorgeous shimmering stuff. Nominated for a Grammy in 2023. 1974 spiritual jazz-ambient classic. Fantastic.
oh this is so good also my coworker said "is that tinkerbell doing the homer simpson meme" and frankly he's not wrong
I’m listening to Jefre Cantu-Ledesma’s In Summer for the first time in at least five years and Love’s Refrain is still a perfect track and it’s amazing that it was just able to completely blow my mind all over again. I love pretty much everything he puts out but sometimes I can’t help but wish there was more of this.
