opiated, oceanic dub-techno with rippling bass that’ll send shivers down your spine. riyl Deepchord, Rhythm and Sound, Pole, the new Skee Mask
Here's a chilled-out ambient synth album my label just put out. It doesn't have any actual vocals but it does include a series of poems meant to be read along with each track. Don't think I've seen anybody do that before.
new Inoyama Land collab album, great Japanese ambient from the classic duo guitar-based ambient. RIYL Laraaji, Popol Vuh, Daniel Lanois some beautiful, afro-futuristic ambient
Listening to this gem from the 80’s. Tranquil, drifty, noodly, americana-tinged and jazzy. Highly recommend if you like Stars of the Lid, North Americans, Chuck Johnson, etc.
this thread alive? lol new David Lynch/Chrystabell album today. apparently it's very good. excited to listen as a huge Lynch fan. this is also supposed to be good. dark and dreampoppy and then this one which I also posted in the Underground Dance Music thread. excellent dub-techno from the dude behind Huerco S and Pendant. riyl those artists, GAS, Deepchord, that vibe.
New Chuck Johnson album Some reissued older Japanese ambient, also dropped today and this one seems dope, a modern ambient reimagining of 12th century composer Hildegard’s work. For the harp fans.
The Chuck Johnson feels like a post rock album at times, really dope. Also loved Fossil Cocoon. check this out. Just discovered this strange beauty from 1982. sounds like the title/cover suggests. There’s a touch of a blended Susumu Yokota, Hiroshi Yoshimura, and a bit of James Ferraro vibe there.
just discovered this, really beautiful stuff. some of it is melodic with vocals and some of it is just straight-up ambient. love the tones on this thing
just discovered this bad boy from 1984. it’s amazing. big Durutti Column, Steve Hiett vibes with an African influence
Next Drone Rodeo here in Chicago's gonna be a good time, got Grace Scheele (electroacoustic harp) and hollowalk (guitar/synth) coming through
