listening to these adventures today. can we please get more posters in this thread! riyl: fourth world bliss riyl: the sounds of a washing machine made into music riyl: Deepchord, Echospace, cv313, GAS, that vibe.
Two new Woo albums came out today, and if you don't know them, they're two brothers and inhabit this incredible sound I don't think I've heard literally anywhere else. Very weird but at the same time strangely approachable, like something familiar heard while dreaming. A mix of folktronica, fourth-world ambient, and jazz. (highly rec going back and also checking their older work if you're unfamiliar)
oh fuck yeah. apparently there's a new Kyle Bobby Dunn album out tomorrow. single on his soundcloud. this dude is absolutely one of the best doing it.
a great ambient release day new Adam Wiltzie (one half of Stars of the Lid) new Kyle Bobby Dunn (riyl Stars of the Lid) new Bengalfuel (also riyl Stars of the Lid lol)
this too. as described by the artist himself, "an enveloping musical meditation inspired by the intrepid productions of Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno, and Robert Fripp and the playing of guitarists Neil Young and the Edge."
this Adam Wiltzie album, man... and I'm only on the third song I really hope this album gets people talking.
New claire rousay album just got delivered a full week early, will report back once I'm able to spin it
Ambient fourth-world jazz goodness. If you liked the Andre 3000 album, the Greg Foat/Gigi Masin album, and/or Jon Hassell, Steve Roach, Harold Budd vibes, check this out.
Update: I love it, definitely leaning more into the emo side of emo ambient and it's claire so it's real good
I still haven't listened to that one yet, and looks like it's not on streaming. Been working through his discography so I'll prioritize that one. My favorites so far are The Pavilion of Dreams, The White Arcades, and Avalon Sutra.
