I'm sorry to read that, dude. This has been my go-to for the last four or five years. The title track is like a warm bath.
My go-to for anxiety is this album. It was a soothing balm during covid times. there’s also this one album that’s supposedly a product of a “music study” in relieving stress and lowering a racing pulse. My wife listens to it on flights bc she has a phobia.
did not expect this new Geotic. this one seems like a return to/more of the original guitar sound. it's beautiful
I think some in here may appreciate this one though it's not exactly pure ambient with its breakbeat and trip-hop stylings.
been exploring all of Harold Budd's discography for the first time, and my GOD I have been missing out by not listening to this dude more. I feel like I'm stumbling upon a gold mine of phenomenal ambient. these are classics but I just never gave them a listen. downright spectacular first listens this one was released posthumously. listening to it now and it's perfect and gorgeous so much more to check out and I'm excited
William Basinski is definitely a go-to for me, Julianna Barwick is always good but this album is particularly cathartic for me emotionally:
Thank you for the recommendation, will listen to this today! And yeah, that posthumous Harold Budd album is great.
just like every other week! i haven't given his stuff too deep a listen since a few years ago before he became so prolific. i think the last thing I really loved by him was Reiyā, and before that Parallel (which rules)
Celer deserves more love. This "new" one is beautiful, so quiet that it's barely there and yet still like a warm blanket. RIP Danielle Baquet-Long.
not quite ambient, not quite post-rock, but a little of both with a dash of psych-folk and a new age vibe. anyway, this deserves some love. phenomenal album haven't listened to this one yet, but this one is also on my radar. dude from the band Balmorhea. cool features.
