Went back through the thread to check if this had been posted. Only just discovered it. The best new ambient record I've heard all year.
The Best Ambient Music of 2023 Pretty sweet list. A few I haven’t checked out yet, but the Loscil/Lawrence English, North Americans, Imaginary Softwoods, and Purelink albums are all dope. The North Americans record is def making my ambient top 10. I’ll draft up my list soon. Curious about everyone else’s as well.
Fully sending it on ambient music this year. Currently listening to William Basinksi's El Camino Real.

Nice, I'll be looking into some of those for sure. Favorite ambient albums for winter? There's finally some snow on the ground here!

Been a fan of Grouper, t e l e p a t h, and 2814, but the rest are new to me! It's definitely time for me to check out Boards of Canada.
Surprised you haven't heard some of these, esp Hammock and Helios if you're a fan of the others. Boards of Canada are amazing, amazing, amazing precursors to a ton of what you hear today in the genre. probably better to start from Music Has the Right to Children and go chronologically.
Not sure how we feel about film scores on this forum but the All Of Us Strangers score is very beautiful. I've been using it a lot as background music while writing this film script and I think it's been indirectly influencing the path my story goes. Highly recommend!
good release day today! Cowboy Sadness, the ambient The Antlers/Bing & Ruth/Port St. Willow project, is out today new Benoît Pioulard / Offthesky album out today and new Billow Observatory!
been DEEPLY obsessed with listening to these sessions at work recently. they're really putting me into focus mode.
