Loved LYR. I personally thought it was a breath of fresh air for them.

 

All their albums have been good and aren’t that far from a specific core sound anyway.

 

Even Dirty Work?

 

Dirty Work is overall good. It has some great tracks , but also some pretty bad ones (looking at you, That Girl)

 

I agree. If you get rid of a few tracks it’s a pretty good album. I view it as the album that had to happen in order for them to grow.

 

I forgot it existed.

 

Literally will never understand why people don't like DW :(

That Girl is the only song I don't like. I Feel Like Dancin' and Time Bomb are both fine but mid, and everything else is an absolute jam.

 

Now I'm listening again and Do You Want Me Dead makes me so happy as soon as I hear it and also I lied I Feel Like Dancin' also belongs in the absolute jam section.

 

I've always liked DW but the lyrics to I Feel Like Dancin are just so cringy

 

Me again. I better see Return the Favor live one day.

 

Take out That Girl, Daydream Away and No Idea and it's a pretty solid album. I know people don't like Feel Like Dancin', but I think it's just a fun goofy track.

DW isn’t my favorite, but it’s not their worst either. I have so many memories attached to the record: being 20 years old, summer 2011, college, trips to the beach, hungover drives lol

 

I'm weird in that I really dug Future Hearts but I never really got hooked by Last Young Renegade. And I thought I was crazy for not getting hooked by it so I went back to it somewhat recently and yea, still didn't click for me. I dunno.

 

You know what did pop up on my shuffle though yesterday, Coffee Shop Soundtrack. That's still such a fun song even with as amateurish as it sounds.

 

Dirty Work definitely happened
