I'm curious what you think to the album?

I love the three singles so far.

I'm so optimistic about this album. Life of the Party is decent, but I really love the other two.

Now I think Life of the Party is by far my least favorite single, I like it but the other two have grown on me a huge amount

Am I doing this right? Also, I totally agree hahah

  7. I'm also very optimistic. I've absolutely loved every track. That new one Nice2KnoU made its way online a few hours ago and it's another jam.
    Here's my ranking:
    1. Dirty Laundry
    2. Nice2KnoU
    3. Last Young Renegade
    4. Life of the Party

Damn, thanks for the heads up. Solid song.

As of now I'd rank them:

    Last Young Renegade
    Dirty Laundry
    Nice2KnoU
    Life of the Party

  9. As soon as a figured out a new track was coming I started snooping around on the web and it popped up this morning.

Damn, these songs are so freaking good. There's a surge of energy in the four released that I don't think was properly realized in Future Hearts.

Really disliked Life of the Party after loving the first two singles.
Nice2KnoU is awesome. Great mix of old and new ATL sounds.

Sounds like I'm gonna like Nice2KnoU...

I just hate the track title lmao

I might have put out "Good Times" to save something a little more wheelhouse ATL for the record release, since the other songs they haven't released are pretty different.

  14. I think this gives a good taste of the diversity on the album + will be a fan favorite. Love the call back.

That's making me even more excited. I have a feeling this will be my favorite since Nothing Personal probably.

^Although I feel the need to say that I loved Dirty Work and think it's a criminally underrated album, and I think if I Feel Like Dancin' hadn't been the big single pushed (or even put on the album), the reaction to that album would've been immensely different. I'd actually almost put it on the same foot as Nothing Personal.

Future Hearts was my favorite of theirs. I have high hopes since the songs I've heard from this have been pretty good and this is a band that I think benefits from having a 10 track album. (I don't think there's a single release of theirs where I wouldn't cut at least one song)

That's an excellent point actually. With the exception of Put Up or Shut Up (which probably also benefits from being short), there's always excess.

I don't think I'd cut anything from Don't Panic. On Future Hearts, just Dancing With a Wolf.

Because I know you all care:

SWIW - The Beach, maybe Come One, Come All
Nothing Personal - Hello, Brooklyn (I would also say Keep the Change except for that bridge)
Dirty Work - That Girl, maybe I Feel Like Dancin'
Don't Panic - Paint You Wings, (Somewhere in Neverland doesn't do much for me either, but I wouldn't necessarily cut it)
Future Hearts - Bail Me Out through Edge of Tonight could've been cut to make a really great 10 song album.

A better way to say it for me may be not that I'd necessarily want to cut these, but just that there's always very clearly half of the album that I enjoy a lot more than the other half, even if I still like most/all of the album, if that makes sense.

Edit: JK I could not actually cut I Feel Like Dancin'

  23. Imagine if Dancing with a Wolf was replaced with Bottle and a Beat. That album needed a banger between the two mellow tracks and it didn't quite deliver.

  24. What is "Dark Side of Your Room" like?

    Really loving the new song.
