I effing love Poppin' Champagne still. It remains one of my all-time favorite ATL song for some reason, it's just so catchy and fun and reminds me of being in high school.

Oh yea I highly doubt it would've had the same impact on me if I hadn't listened to it when it came out, before any of the ATL music that came after, and when I was 13.
You must think you're soooOOOoo cool.

yeah I haven't returned to this at all, really. but I haven't really been into anything they've put out since NP.

that being said, two more things:
    1. Too much is a bop
    2. Dark Side of Your Room is the one song I return to off of this album in particular. shit's good

This album has grown on me a ton. I've had the full thing for long enough now that the singles sound like parts of a cohesive whole rather than standalone songs I've heard a bunch of times, which makes a big difference. I think it was a terrible idea to release five singles on a ten track album, especially when four of them are tracks 3-6. But yeah, I really love this album and tbh it's close to passing Menzingers for me this year.

I actually think Time Bomb is their only straight up bad song since SWIR, though Dancing With a Wolf is very close. Love Too Much, That Girl, and Bail Me Out.

"That Girl" was DEFINITELY a spot where the major label steered the ship. They recorded that song like five times, they said.

For me it was when I saw the STD performance. For some reason I did a 180 on the song after that

I've said it in this thread before but I 100% believe that Don't Panic is their only album that's great all the way through, and I'm including the extended version in that

Eh, Don't Panic has So Long Soldier and Irony of Choking on a Lifesaver. Neither is bad, but they're pretty skippable IMO. Last Young Renegade is that "great all the way through" album IMO. Not a single track I'd cut there.

Irony of Choking is one of my favorites from that album. I'd cut Paint You Wings. I also don't care for Somewhere In Neverland, but I also know people love that one.

Still can't get past expecting the next line in Afterglow at "We ain't got nowhere to go" to be "so let's go to the punk rock show"

  18. Really glad to see this thread come back after a little bit. A few things:
    1. Bail Me Out is one of my favorite tracks on Future Hearts. So so so catchy.
    2. LYR still holds up, although after seeing them live Drugs and Candy + Good Times are the new favorites.
    3. The Straight to DVD version of Too much basically removes the cringey parts of the studio version, actually a pretty good song after the fact.
    4. Anyone else going to any of the SWIR shows? What do you think they'll close with since Dear Maria is track 6?

I wouldn't be surprised if they skip Dear Maria for the album play and add it to the end of their encore.

I love So Long Soldier, I actually wish they had more songs leaning on the "punk" side like that one
