Bail Me Out is the only song that comes even close to being as bad as That Girl. And Hello Brooklyn is probably their 3rd worst. Those are about the only 3 songs they have that I straight up just won't listen to.

Actually that's too harsh on Hello Brooklyn. It's pretty much all their songs>Hello Brooklyn>>>Bail Me Out>>>>>>>>>>>>That Girl.

I actually hate I Feel Like Dancin' more. That Girl is just pure cheese and diabetes-sweet, IFLD is just about as lame and fake and desperate as they come. "Errybody gettin' kinda crunk/I think some dude just grabbed my junk," the Kesha reference, the fact that Rivers goddamn Cuomo helped write that atrocity at the height of his Raditude powers, it's just all the bad in one song. And it was the lead single.

There's a difference between "misguided and trying something the band wasn't ready for yet" and IFLD/That Girl lol

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I hated Too Much, until one day I woke up and I didn't.

Oh don't get me wrong, I skip it pretty much every time I listen to NP. It's not a great track and definitely one of their worst. But I just think it isn't on the same level as IFLD and That Girl in terms of cynicism and cringeworthiness.

If I'm being honest I probably only like 3-4 songs on SWIR

It's just never really clicked with me as a whole album! A large majority of it does nothing for me, but I do love the highs on it

What are the songs you do like? The only song I really don't care for is The Beach. I'm also the first to admit I can never objectively look at that album. It's the first album I ever went to the store to get on release day and I remember everything about making my Dad drive me to Best Buy, buying it, opening it, listening to it for the first time, and having it consume my life for months after.

Next month is actually the 10-year anniversary of the single most important month of music for me in my life. SWIR and Bone Palace Ballet (lol) literally changed the way I appreciated music.

honestly i'm the same way about SWIR?

remembering sunday is top tier obviously, dear maria, and six feet are great, then like, poppin champagne and stay awake and holly are solid? idk, it's definitely the least "interesting" of their records.

it's consistently average to above average without any real pitfalls

i'm getting dangerously close to ranking territory but don't panic has the best mix of consistency and peaks of any of their records pretty easily, future hearts is probably second but i would have cut a few songs there

*Oops I guess SWIR is the second album I remember going to buy at the store the day it came out. Bone Palace Ballet actually came out before I had them switched. I know you are all concerned so I wanted to clear the air.

I still say LYR is the only album of theirs that doesn't have at least one song I would've cut. Literally every other album has at least one. LYR is just so tight and focused. All of those songs are really good.

interesting how the biggest hits on the ATL album are also the ones that are generally the most liked, haha.

also to differ from above i heard the album in 2008 and saw like, 10 of the songs live at their holiday show. just look at this set lol
