#1 is the "take a breath don't it sound so easy" part from Dear Maria

Some really interesting stories in there. Apparently David Bendeth was supposed to produce all of Nothing Personal but the two sides didn't mesh as well as they thought they would and that's why they went with a bunch of different producers.

I'll have to find a way to check that out

Evan Lucy is doing all of the cover stories for AltPress now right? He'd be the only reason I could tolerate picking up an AltPress magazine.

    She haunts the roads

Now that I remember it, the "Umbrella" cover is also pretty boss.

That Vampire Shift song is weird but very catchy, haha.

according to HDD this is expected to sell 22-25k pure albums and 25-28k SPS. that's like 1/3 of what Future Hearts did in the first week. what the hell happened?

No way...those numbers can't actually be right

That seems about right for the amount of outside buzz this album has(n't) been getting.

it's really making me wonder whether they only reached those numbers with Future Hearts because of their proximity (both personal and in sound) with 5SOS, who were the biggest thing back then. but that big a drop is definitely not natural.

    So Wrong, It's Right: 14k
    Nothing Personal: 63k
    Dirty Work: 43k
    Don't Panic: 48k (It's Longer Now: 13,5k)
    Future Hearts: 75k

Those numbers look right to me. Future Hearts (at least appeared to have) had more promotion.

I mean, if I didn't frequent this website I would have no idea there was a new album from them at all

I would've thought with FBR they'd do better, to be honest.

  17. FBR has a really hit-or-miss track record with promotion.

  19. I think Satellite was a pretty strong opener. It's catchy and a cool song live.

nope, totally serious. FBR's been bombing lately
won't take the "paramore had a short leadup" excuse

Well, they do have that excuse whereas ATL definitely doesn't. This album was announced like four months ago. Paramore is a much bigger band, though, so I'd expect them to outsell ATL by quite a bit. Still....I'm finding it hard to understand how ATL's sales dropped off so much from Future Hearts.

honestly ATL's sales make me blame FBR even more for ATL, the fact they had two records in a row drop so far makes me quite concerned

i think Paramore are a little less concerned, what with the plethora of potential hits on their album, crossover possibilities, and their marketability -- ATL are way inferior on all those aspects
