Wow, I mean I really, really dislike the chorus on the title track so I guess I'm just completely missing what you guys are picking up on. I keep spinning this record hoping to like it more but it hasn't budged much.

 

If Albany stops being gloomy ever again, I'll have to give this a spin on a walk.

 

This record is supposed to be good for gloomy days

 

Not sure if I'd call LYR or Weightless their best opener. I honestly might still give the edge to Weightless.

Also, everyone who did these song lists and didn't include "Lullabies" is wrong.

 

For the record, I had Lullabies typed out at one point and then switched it for Running With Lions which was maybe a mistake but I love both.

 

You don't choose, you list them both as one song, you FOOL!!

"Running from Lions" never felt like such a mistake.

 

For real tho, very happy to see all the love "The Party Scene" (the song) has been getting. Deserves every inch of it.

In the course of revisiting these songs, that "tired eyes will close" line is giving me chills every time.

 

Why has The Reckless and Brave not been mentioned once in this opener conversation? I fucking love that song

 

Lullabies is one of my favourite songs of all time.

Weightless and Last Young Renegade just beat the living shit out of that song for me. Coffee Shop Soundtrack is still a jam. I guess if we're not counting EP's it'd be my third favorite? If Satellite led into a better song than Kicking and Screaming though I'd probably place that way higher.

 

Satellite + K&S > Weightless > Coffee Shop > Do You Want Me (Dead) = LYR > TR&TB > TPS

In the new AP magazine, they did an oral history of all the ATL albums and Jack said "Don't You Go" was supposed to be the opening track on Future Hearts before a last-minute change. I would have HATED that.

 

"Ground Control" is so good but it sounds more like Tegan and Sara featuring Alex. maybe that's why it's great

 

I think Ground Control has my favourite lyrics on this record.
