It's definitely an ATL song just not the type of ATL song I like I wish they could make an album similar to their "Once In a Lifetime" single, but they have definitely steered away from that since Tell Me I'm Alive.
Yeah, this one’s a miss for me too. I didn’t originally like the lead single from the wake up, sunshine album, though, and that’s probably my favorite album from them.
I wish they’d stop trying so hard to write a pop hit. This is worse than anything on the last several albums
Still think Don't Panic is their best album overall. The run of Backseat Serenade, If These Sheets Were The States, and Somewhere In Neverland is so good. I don't necessarily listen to this band much anymore though (not sure where things stand on the whole accusation thing).
Chorus started posting ATL news again right around the time the band dropped their lawsuit for having served its purpose (they uncovered the people behind a bunch of the accusations were just running a smear campaign). All Time Low Issue Statement About Libel Lawsuit Investigation Findings
I think one of the people who accused them sadly committed suicide so there is that dark cloud from all this as well (at least according to X / Twitter).
Until they write an album like the last 30 seconds of tell me I’m alive im not interested. For some reason I keep checking out every album they release and it never sticks beyond a few tracks.
Reminds me of Jonas Brothers and some of the stuff on the last Boys Like Girls album. Not actually too bad but something feels half-baked or disjointed, doesn't flow well between sections.
Very mid song for sure. It all feels disjointed and Alex is trying to do some weird Patrick Stump vocals in the verses.
