Very excited for this!

 

Always weird when a trailer comes out and it's the complete opposite vibe of what you've expected in the year+ you've been reading about this movie.


I was definitely expecting something a little more... spooky

 

The club scene, the scene talking to his mom in bed, and that ending. FUCK.

 

This was very good.

This was beautiful. The club montage is up there with the best sequences of 2023.

I can't decide how I feel about the ending just yet, I think it's just not where I was expecting it to go (or wanting). The final shot really got me though.

 

I absolutely loved this. Had me tearing up multiple times. All four of them gave brilliant performances.

 

I liked this but it didn’t hit me as hard as Aftersun did

 

I’m still mixed on the ending of this but I think I liked it more than Aftersun (which I also loved)

 

I love Aftersun but this definitely got to me more.

 

I loved the ending and the rest of it.

 

Watching now. Oh boy this is gonna fuck me up, huh

I loved that crewneck Mescal was wearing with the eagle and moose.

 

Expected to be walloped but I didn’t watch any trailers so a lot of this caught me off guard. I think I was more interested in the idea of Harry being alive the whole time and he and Adam having a conversation about what happened at the house than him being dead the whole time but still a good strong heartbreaker regardless.

 

Interesting, perplexing movie. I enjoyed it but I didn’t expect it to be so ambiguous. Amazing performances and cinematography though.

 

This was good. Haigh doesn't get mentioned among the best working filmmakers but he should be.
