i have such a weird relationship with this band all my favorite shit is from between the EP and The Season and never got officially released lol

 

these songs never making it to an album/Apple Music is also a major bummer when I'm doing a discography run. We need a b-sides/rarities release, Nate!

 

I think Nate has demoed over 100 songs that have never seen the light of day. I’m pretty sure he’s always writing.

i couldn't remember which festival had that unreleased song and while searching i came across this video of my friends. video quality is a 3, band energy is a 10

 

i believe he shared the studio version on his patreon. i still haven't dug into that though so maybe someone else can verify

edit - he posted the demo but not the studio b-side. it's incredible though

 

absolutely no shade to the newer members, they still absolutely kill it live, but this era and lineup are legit some of my favorite shows ever.

I know it had to not be a lot of fun for them when they were touring the South playing house shows for a pittance, but they absolutely brought it every time.

 

saw this lineup in tiny rooms more than probably any other band. so fucking fun and so fucking loud lol

If you or anyone else knows, how often does the Patreon get updates, and/or could I access previous content if I subscribed now? I'm not sure why I'm not subscribed to it already, I'm a huge fan but somehow missed that this was a thing.

 

I’m in the minority but I absolutely adored their last record and would like for them to continue down the folksy rock road tbh.

I just signed up earlier today to access the demos. I believe he was updating roughly monthly but it's been a year since the last update. You can still access most of the old content. It's a lot of unlisted youtube videos and those are all still up. There are a few dropbox links too but some of them are dead

 

The last two albums are probably my favourite other than The Season of course.
