Usually a single comes with info and announcement, so I assumed I just haven’t seen anything and figured hardcore fans would know more. Patiently waiting because I already have 6 releases in 2022 I’m looking forward to and more to come.
Just realized they released However Long 5+mos. before announcing pre-orders for No Bouquet and 6+mos. before it actually came out. I had been hopeful for early spring, but guess it might be a while... dunno if MCS tour being pushed might impact. Hope I'm wrong though!
Hotel EP 1. Self Repair 2. First Contact 3. Vacancy 4. ATX 5. Wait List New recordings of old songs, and a new, unreleased old song. Recorded live on a tour day freed up by COVID-cancelled shows (rather than sitting around the hotel) at the incredible Electrical Audio Recording studios in Chicago, IL. edit - just a reminder, today is a Bandcamp Friday
Aw man - it’s all old tracks minus “Vacancy” which is just an unreleased track. Vacancy is cool though.
Weird how they said Vacancy is an unreleased song? It's literally on the last Hussey album. This version is awesome though.
Always fun to see random things like this pop up, and it’s a good use of the cancelled show/bandcamp artist day thing. Way too many bands or artists or even fans act too precious to do something simple like this EP. This kind of thing bridges gaps between albums and after releasing two potential album tracks early (still don’t know the new release date), this is even more of a surprise.
This version of Wait List is so damn good. I also think ATX is a top 5 song from them so I loved that they captured their live energy in this recording.
Vacancy was originally a NLAQ song. It was partially rewritten for Hitchens but this is closer to how it originally was. :)
Haven't listened to All Get Out a ton since The Season (which I loved!) and I'm really enjoying these new songs!
