Love the original versions, but to me they have done a phenomenal job of stripping each of these down to the core and reimagining so much outside of the basic melody. Really demonstrates their musicality.
I do enjoy when a band shows off a full band version, acoustic version and alt versions. Shows it’s just a good song all around.
Can this band finally get the attention they deserve now? It’s hard to believe it but they are still a very small/unknown band
There have been a list a bands I really like in a similar scene of music that just never get/got the attention I expected. The Republic Of Wolves, Moving Mountains, Moneen to name a few as an example. Sometimes it just takes a while, or touring with the right band. It took a while for Kevin Devine to get a bigger audience (I’d say it wasn’t until Bubblegum/Bulldozer crowdfunding that people really gave him hits just attention). You’d figure more Manchester Orchestra fans would be drawn to AGO.
My friend manages this band I told him he should feel like a proud daddy. Nathan has really outdone himself here. This EP is amazing.
On a completely and totally unrelated note, this guy came all the way to Kansas just to sing at my wedding and I will be forever grateful for it.
starts around 2:45 mark God Damn Me and My Lovers Value First Contact You'll Survive banter spoiler - the cat's name is Nafe
double spoiler, the song they are talking about is Namesake. The guy got the wrong song idea but Nate just let him go with it haha.
just super happy i got to hear Value live haha. The guitar tones on it were fantastic as well. watching again now.
The interviews can be awkward sometimes, but I love the host. Dude always fanboys over my favorite bands.
seems like a nice guy too, i just think he's like how one of us would be watching his favorite bands right in front of him haha.
Exactly. Also he said Hell or High Water from As Cities Burn is one of his all time favorites yesterday, so he gets extra cred from me with that take.
