Do you actually think it's that bad? Idk that seems kind of harsh deserves more than this based on production alone
That's a totally valid opinion, but Nathan has one of my favorite voices in rock music. He's got a sweet falsetto, he holds his own when just singing, and his shouts are rivaled only by Jesse Lacey. I feel like maybe seeing him live would change your opinion? But what do I know.
I wouldn't rly say so tbh. I'd throw mansions in with like now now before either of those bands dig up the dead is better than any of that scenes albums tho
Mansions is dope. Also, I feel like this album is more dynamic than The Season...? Maybe there aren't as many explosive moments, but I don't think it takes away from the dynamics.
I cant put my finger on what it is that I don't like about it, but to me he just sounds like a version of Andy Hull that I don't like at all
This album continues to grow on me. It's funny, I didn't like Home much as a single, but on the album it's a favorite. I recently discovered the new Apologies, I have none album as well. Any fans of that in here? I can see both of these albums being in my top 10 of the year.
I'm seeing these guys tomorrow. Really good experience listening to movement and nobody likes a quitter back to back. Good ying and yang
WOOOOOOOF what a take i have a lot of strong feelings about that record. that record had so much potential, climbers is an incredible opener and up until wasted on the senate floor came out "two suits" was my most anticipated song ever. recorded version lost so much of the energy i loved about the live version beforehand. i also think the back half has some not very good songs (last one in i think has a horrible horrible chorus), the only song i like in the last four is 100 degrees. it has grown on me a bit but yeah, as my former most anticipated ever i was just real disappointed and i still think it's nowhere close to DUTD
i knew you'd have a lot to say about this lol Last One In is definitely my least favorite. Falling Down and If You're Leaving are some of my favorites. idk it's probably a super right place, right time thing
I knew nothing about Mansions when I saw them with La Dispute and Pianos, was blown away by Two Suits and The Economist. The live versions of those are SO good.
Get out of here steve. I think theres a few really great songs and a few very forgettable songs on Doom Loop. I adore 100 Degrees.
Wow they just posted a instagram pic of all the tour merch and I like every single one of those t-shirts more than the one that comes with the pre-order.... bummer.
Their t-shirt designs are consistently excellent. I'm ok with the one that comes with the preorder, but would love to get my hands on that white tour one.
