L clarity for sure, also tone color there is so much lost in bad quality. You can hear harmonies better and guitars drums cymbals buried lead parts all sorts of stuff comes through can't wait half hour away
The download is just MP3? And I don't think I'm prepared to say this or the solo album is better than the season. Too early though.
I'm getting the cd this week haha, who gets CDs anymore I just wanted to have something physical from this release
First play in HQ and I'm blown away again. Honestly, I had pretty high expectations for the album and was a little scared they wouldn't be met. But they've already exceeded my expectations, I'm surprised how immediately this has connected for me.
Could you ask him about the lyrics in "Empty Nest"? Same goes for about all the lyrics on this album. They're really dense, but I love them. Does anyone here know what he's talking about in Empty Nest? It sounds like its a struggle with faith but I could be completely wrong.
Yeah it's 320. And I got the cd too! I still collect em from all my favourites. It's nice to have a physical of things even if I don't play them very often.
Gonna look for that FLAC this morning, but probably just grab my 320 from BTR. This album doesn't feel produced in the detail that I'd notice the difference anyway.
The ending track :') Going to need some time to digest this one, but I think it might have The Season beat.
On first listen, I liked it way more than The Season. Still a grower though, and I'm hoping it'll make a better impression on my after several spins.
Honestly a little surprised at that amount of people I've seen say this is better than The Season. It's really good, don't get me wrong, but it's nowhere near that album for me. I'm glad so many people are loving it that much, though!
@RuckerPark @loudasallgetout think that "dark earth" in empty nest is a reference to burn hot the records?
I love the bass on his album, tone is incredible and the fills are very tasteful Also the chorus to whatever bass line totally makes the song
