how about Rose as the opener though?? it’s my favorite song on here that’s not Value

 

the ending of Rose is pretty much everything i love about this band.

 

My plane just landed and I found out it’s here and ready to be heard and now I’m sad because I didn’t bring my laptop hahaha. Tomorrow is so far away!!!

 

Also, Nathan tweeted that they’re playing 17 songs on the upcoming set!!

 

Gdi won’t hear it until tonight then. Ugh.

Opener was cool once it went where it was going, I feel like I’ll appreciate that more going back for more listens. Survive owns though

 

Loving how punchy the production on this is. NLAQ had some incredible tones all throughout but at times the warmth really took away from the heavier hitting parts — glad the bite is back.

 

YOOOOOooooooooo Rose, holy shit. Sorry I won't post track by track, but had to post for this song, it's so damn good.

 

Really really really liked this a whole lot. I hear a lot of their other LPs in this without it feeling regressive at all. I can already tell I’ll be constantly humming a lot of these vocal melodies and riffs involuntarily and to the point of exhaustion haha

Absolutely over the entire fucking moon about First Contact and Namesake. God Damn is also up there as well.

Just got through this once, and my opinion is that it's good, but I was expecting better after the first track. This is my first listen though so my opinion is sure to change, but nothing reaches the heights of "Rose" for me. My favorites are "Rose", "Value", and "Namesake".

Does anyone know the official track listing? Some websites tell me the second song is called "Survive", others say it's "You'll Survive".

The closer is called “wake” that’s from the guy who wrote it lol

Also funny thing, it’s going to be labeled as trip on the vinyl as well haha

 

Give it time, you won’t even consider rose the highlight after 10-15 listens

 

rose is top 3 on the album though

 

Not for me, I actually enjoy some of the catchier alt country stuff a bit more. Really the whole albums a highlight tho

 

Glad to see everyone is loving Namesake and First Contact so much.

 

First listen. Shitty headphones on the bus. Thought it was just pretty good. No jaw dropping first listen moments for me though.
