JakeRabin's cover of Warbrain for the Alkaline Trio comp was so good. Well, as is most of the comp if you haven't heard it. One of my favorite nods to Trio is Brian Fallon throwing a verse from Warbrain into Great Expectations every once in a while. I like most of the songs from the Split albums, and maybe Jaked on Green Beers, more than Warbrain though.
Honestly, I put Remains right behind Good Mourning as my top two. The summer of 2007 was a rough one for me, and that album was a godsend satansend.
That and Hell Yes are my easy favorites. Unless I think we did Hell Yes already in another bracket. Was it in the Infirmary bracket?
I go back and forth if I like this or While You're Waiting more. If I had to vote today, probably Queen of Pain. There are days Hating Every Minute is my favorite Dan performance. Going to re-listen to this tonight.
Ah ok def rooting for Queen of Pain than. My favorite has at least made the final every time lol let's keep it going
Jaked On Green Beers was the first Trio song I ever heard thanks to the Atticus CD so that song will always hold a special place in my heart.
"Crawl" was the first one I heard it. It was on the Vagrant Records compilation Another Year On The Streets. I'm working on getting members from every band on that comp to sign my CD copy of it because that CD introduced me to SO many bands that I fell in love with.
So far I have: Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio) Matt Pryor (The Get Up Kids/The New Amsterdams) James Dewees (The Get Up Kids/Reggie & the Full Effect) Josh Berwanger (The Anniversary) I'm pretty certain I'll get members of Face To Face and Saves The Day to sign it too, next time I see one of them.
Hey sorry, I haven't been able to get to it. Life unfortunately is getting in the way. I've got no issue if you wanna run it.
I understand. I’m sorry to hear that :/ There are more important things than brackets - I hope everything is ok
I don’t think so. If I’m remembering this correctly, there is a cool note about this song in the Remains booklet. This was the first song Derek recorded with the band, and he wanted to impress Matt and Dan with how fast he could play.
Everything will be ok. I will be poping in to post. I mean you guys are some of my favorite people after all.
