Goddamnit Good Mourning From Here To Infirmary Maybe I'll Catch Fire Crimson My Shame Is True Agony & Irony This Addiction Count me as a Crimson apologist. Love that record an inordinate amount. It's definitely the best of their post-Good Mourning period. So many risks taken, so many paid off. It's definitely earned it's place in the top 5. And Goddammit might not be their technically best record but it is by far the one album of theirs that I feel is most vital, not just for punk music but also for the development of my own personal musical taste. Such a great band. Really hoping Matt's time in blink doesn't prevent them from recording for too long. My Shame Is True is already over 3 years old.

I'm finally getting into Party Adjacent. It took long enough. Has anyone tried to make a playlist with tracks from Kuts and Party Adjacent to form a makeshift Trio album?
I busted out Damnesia today for the first time in a while. I enjoy it, I think it's a solid reimagining of a couple of their songs.
Ah, I had a feeling that would be the case. They're extremely different records. I might tinker with it later and see what happens.

Musically it's kinda boring, and I don't really engage with any of the lyrics on a personal level. Edit: except "until death do us part" .
Fair enough, personally it was the first album musically/sonically/lyrically I connect with since Good Mourning so the album will always be one of my favorite trio albums.
When it came out I easily thought best since Good Mourning, but there's just something about Agony & Irony's mood I like better. And it would be sacrilege for me to even think of putting it above anything pre-Good Mourning. I love most of the songs on it though! 7th on a list of Trio albums for me is no snub lol.
I'd be interested in knowing what everyone's favorite song off each album is (including the comps/EPs/splits). One of the many reasons that Alkaline Trio is my favorite band is due to the fact that they have such a wide array of songs fans all respond differently to.
