Yes ! More of Matt's screamy vocals mixed in with Dan's aggression.

 

I'd like something that doesn't sound so glossy, leaning more towards dark and aggressive. Then again that's pretty much what I always want. I hope Matt's screamy vocals carry over and that's about it. Haha.

Ehh. I've gotten spoiled with Derek that I couldn't go back.

 

I love Derek, especially on GM and Crimson, but old Trio drums might be the single most thing in music I miss

 

Don't get me wrong I love Glenn and Mike. But I always thought the drums earlier on sounded a little amateurish

 

Found a used copy of Heavens at a record store on Monday. Didn't realize how mellow it is. Good stuff though, some of Skiba's darker imagery.

 

I'm still glad I grabbed that on vinyl when it came out. I fucking adore that record.

 

Just want to say that Dan's album with Tuesday is incredibly underrated. Really solid 90's emo.

Listened to Good Mourning yesterday.

I really miss Alkaline Trio. I'd be more than okay with a Blink-182 break to get another Alkaline Trio album done.

 

Any rumors on Alkaline Trio meeting up/going to a studio soon? Matt just said in an Instagram post the touring for Blink’s California is officially done.

This morning, it was announced that Alkaline Trio will be playing with the Misfits in Las Vegas on Dec 28. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

 

They are playing with them in LA on the 30th as well, seems like a mini tour at the least

 

2 dates is a very mini tour, haha. but yeah, at least SOMETHING is happening with Alkaline Trio.

 

I mean more in the sense that the LA date was announced a month-ish ago, and now there is this Vegas date... I wouldn't be surprised if more dates are added in the next week or so

 

I'd be fine with a Misfits cover record by the Alkaline Trio at this point

I could see Trio doing there own tour. As much as I want a new album I'd be super estatic with just shows.
