So when they do eventually start recording a new album, I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of my most anticipated of all time. I've highly anticipated each of their albums since I got into them right around Good Mourning, but we were getting those albums on a regular 2-3 year schedule. I can't imagine how pumped I'm going to be hitting play on the first new Trio album in at least five years.
Unpopular opinion, but My Shame Is True did little to nothing for me at the time of its release and it's usually one of my least favorites from them (this bands discography ranking changes for me from time to time) might have to go back and listen fully since it's been about 4 years
Yeah I love Shame. I think Skiba's songs are a big improvement over his work on This Addiction. Dan is of course awesome as always.
Shame was a good return to form record imo. I think a few of Matt's songs were lyrically not my favorite, but as a whole I definitely liked it more than the previous two records. I enjoyed the guest vocals from Brendan and Tim as well.
Just so everyone knows, someone asked Derek on Instagram if there was going to be a new Trio record and he said the wheels are in motion.
People keep telling me not to put much into it, but when I talked to him back in October he said nothing of this nature. I take this as a step forward.
Interesting. I know a while back Mark said the plans were for blink to head back into the studio by the end of the year and blink does have a few concerts scheduled for July, August and September in the US. I'm still in the "sit back and wait and see mode".
I don't even know what to expect, now Matt just did an interview and it seemed like he had no intention of doing anymore Trio.
Anyways, Skiba did an interview basically saying Blink is all he's focused on Music interview: Matt Skiba of Blink-182 on anniversaries, accolades and song writing inspiration
