Ruin It is one of my favorite Dan songs. Into The Night is near the bottom cause it reminds me too much of Private Eye. I also prefer Dan's acoustic version better.
I got Crimson in the mail today. It sounds pretty good. If you don't have it I definitely recommend this pressing. This has been on my wish-list for a while. Glad to see it finally got a repress. Tempted to go pick up FHTI and GM too..
Randomly put on Good Mourning the other day, and I love how twisted some of the lyrics are. I don't blame you for walking away. I touched myself at thoughts of flames. I shat the bed, I laid there in it, Thinking of you, wide awake for days.
So the Agony & Irony bonus track "In My Stomach" is missing from my ITunes. So I went into the ITunes Store to see if I could redownload, and it says that I've already purchased it. Does anyone else have this problem or know how I can get the song back.
Your stuff is probably hidden. Go to your "View My Account" then under "iTunes in the Cloud" click "manage" next to "Hidden Purchases. Then unhide your items and check your purchased items. Should be there.
Aw man, I missed an album ranking and a chance to convince all the haters how good A&I is again?! Ugh. These change in small ways from time to time, but GM is always at the top... 1. Good Mourning 2. Agony & Irony 3. FHTI 4. MSIT 5. MICF 6. Crimson 7. Goddammit! 8. This Addiction Sometimes FHTI is above A&I, sometimes Goddammit is ahead of Crimson and MICF....but generally this is the list. A&I is such a great rock record, strong song writing from both members and only one true dud (Live Young Die Fast)....every other song is at least decent. Don't get the hate for Love Love Kiss Kiss...Dan pulls off that tongue in cheek, sarcastic feel so nicely on that song, and Matt's bridge gets me pumped every time it kicks in. LLKK is def my least favorite Dan song on the album, but it's still good. He was really hitting his peak at that point. If you took off Live YOung Die Fast, subbed the original acoustic version of Over and Out in for what ended up on the album, and changed it so Into The Night wasn't the closer, A&I would always be above FHTI for me and would challenge GM for top spot. Into the Night is a fine song, but it just didn't ever feel like a closer. In My Stomach should have closed that album, and Burned Is The House should have been on there some where.
Where do you think Burned is the House would fit best on the album? I've tried including it and I'm never happy with my placement. In My Stomach is a great closer indeed.
That's the exact same problem I have haha...it really doesn't fit anywhere. Though apparently they weren't going to have Do You Wanna Know? on there either but the label forced them to put it on, so that was already apparently shoehorned in there lol Maybe #2 after Calling All Skeletons? Maybe just replace Live Young Die Fast, but then you'd have 3 dan songs in a row. Though I guess that's just something you'd have to deal with if you're willing to go with a Dan heavy album. And I'm certainly ready to deal with that haha. As long as we're talking about Dan b-sides, I loved his Crimson ones too. Two nice little love songs. Also, still wish this would get a proper recording...
From a fan group I'm in on facebook: I really hope Blink doesn't hold him up any longer after the summer tour is over.
You know I love Matt and all but he's been pissing me off lately. At this point I don't think he cares about Trio. I was all for this Blink thing but I'm starting to sour on it.
They'll only have a small window at the end of the year and early next year to record/write and tour, probably.
It would be kind of shitty for Mark and Travis knowing that Matt has another band to not give him the breathing room to do it. I'd like to think he'll have plenty of time for it when the more urgent obligation to blink ends, not squeezing it in between. 2 US tours, 1 overseas tour, 2 summers worth of international festival circuits and recording basically a whole other album for the deluxe edition seems to me like he's put in his fair share by now and then some.
Let's not get carried away yet , his quote was probably taken out of context. They just played three shows with amazing setlists and according to some of those who attended, they seemed extremely excited to be back on stage.. My guess is that they'll be going full throttle again after the blink tour/ blink camp settles down. It's only been 8 months since California was released EDIT: Doubting that we'll get a new ALK3 this year, it'll be crazy to think that it will be 5 years between their last album to their next one. Where does the time go
