Good Mourning was always my favorite Alkaline Trio album.....but damn....I Just tried ranking them again and it's just too damn hard. Agony & Irony....BH&E....ITTC?..... I'm a huge This Addiction fan too. So difficult haha
Good Mourning is still my favorite of theirs (followed closely by goddamnit and crimson), I know he was going through it and his throat was fucked but I love Matt’s voice so much on that album.
my top three are crimson, X, and agony/irony.. so far. i really should deep dive into their early discography.
Cursed and Blood both hopped into my 3 spots the last few years but Crimson is so good. Those 3 are almost toss ups for me Infirmary Good Mourning Crimson BH&E Cursed MICF Agony & Irony Goddamnit My Shame Is True This Addiction I don't actually recall last time I did a full ranking so why not
My top 3 have typically been Good Mourning, Agony & Irony, and FHTI...But definitely possible for MSIT (especially with the Broken Wing EP added on) and BH&E to bump FHTI at this point I think.
I can't rank their albums but even the weakest among them is easy enough for me to give my attention to.
Jesse from Op Ivy on the new AK3 is wild!!! @333 GANG i was typing this and got the notification. You beat me to the draw. Really curious what it will sound like. Not sure if anyone heard the doom regulator single with Jesse and Tim in the new band, but I loved it. Curious to hear him on a 2026 pop punk song.
Seeing them next month in Leeds and really interested to see what they play. Been a few years since I’ve seen them and a lot of the setlists in the last 5 years have not been that exciting to me. I’m sure I saw Tosh post that he was learning every song they’ve ever done, so I’m really hoping we might see them mix it up a bit. Going to try and avoid any setlists spoilers ahead of the gig I’m going to.
Oblivion is one of the better pop punk songs I have heard in a minute. The chorus is perfect IMO. It’s so damn catchy.
I am gonna disagree with my man Ant here I fucking hate when bands spell out letters in lyrics. it's always corny
