The remains one was originally on that split they did, so I had heard that one first and preferred it to the Crimson one hhaha
I went back and listened to Babylon over the weekend and it’s such a fucking damn good rock record. Some of Matt's best material
babylon has some huge bangers yeah, my favorite skeeb album during that period between agony and cursed
I’ve grown to appreciate This Addiction as years gone bye. I know it has filler but it honestly has some of my favorite tracks on it, I believe it’s some of Danny’s best material
I read a YouTube comment thread from last year where Derek himself said he notified the band's management about the wrong version being on Spotify. Thrice, similarly, has had a years-long glitch during "Stand and Feel Your Worth."
Not shade towards Agony, Addiction or Shame but it just felt like Matt was saving his best writing for Sekrets those years. Babylon has some of my favorite Matt lyrics for sure. Cursed and BH&E is some peak Matt though and this new song feels in contention for my fave Trio song just like Break was
although i dont love it and my shame, both albums have some really strong output from dan that make them worth the price of admission. fine and only love are top tier especially
See I thought This Addiction was a step down for Dan after the run of FHTI-GM-Crimson-A&I where he didn’t write one meh song and they were all bangers/my favorites from the albums. Even his A&I bsides and that one rough Good Mourning demo were killers.
hurricane season might be better than any trio album honestly, huge all timer for me also huge ditto on burned is the house and in my stomach being classics. the sheer quantity of incredible songs this band has is staggering
It’s crazy to think how they are considered underrated in the scene per say but yet actually have been pretty influential to other bands.
They're gonna complain about Travis like he's the only one ever doing whatever he does Like I guarantee you only like 10% of people that bitch about compression actually have any idea what they're talking about lol
Well part of the problem is most of the die hard part of the fanbase live in the fucking past and expect dudes who are pretty much 50 years old to put something out they put out 25 to 30 years ago
