Did something happen where Interpunk is a reliable business again? Or are they still selling records they don’t actually have in stock and making it impossible to get a refund from them without threatening to report them to the BBB?

 

I haven’t heard them becoming reliable again but they did try to screw me several times including on eBay lol

 

This has been available on Amazon for a while now. I ordered mine on March 30. It’s also set to ship on May 10.

Okay, so… Fuck Interpunk still. Don’t buy this variant from them.

 

I assure you, Amazon is a more ethical and reliable organization than Interpunk.

 

It’s weird Interpunk is still in business, I was buying a ton of stuff from them circa 20 years ago

 

Sad as hell to say but so accurate. Interpunk used to be awesome. Guy that runs it sucks so bad now

 

I never had any problems from IP, I used to buy old local bands CDs who weren’t around anymore.

 

They used to be legit but I’d say buyer beware now. Happened some time around Covid

 

Yup. And TBH, it sounds like the person in charge is a pretty troubled individual (rather than being just a scumbag) so... Sucks all-around.

The only reason I'm kicking up dust on this is because I'd rather not see (most LOL) people on this particular site get fucked over if I can help it.

I used to buy from them all the time. But at some point in the last decade it became a fully untrustworthy enterprise. I personally have had a purchase where I bought an LP and was told "sorry, it's not in-stock but if you wait a few weeks we'll be getting more in." After a few weeks I sent another email and was told to wait more (and that's just not how limited vinyl variants work, anyway; more aren't pressed). Asked for a refund, didn't get it... Asked again, still didn't get it. Literally had to threaten to file a dispute with my credit card company and report them to the BBB to get it back.

After the bad experience, I heard somebody mention something about the business on a podcast, and did some digging. There's a lot of people with a similar experience. And a few bands too WRT late payments, etc.

Bad company, bad business practices. Don't support 'em.

But if you do, know that you may not get what you pay for and it will be a hassle to get a refund if you don't.

 

I would also strongly encourage people to avoid Interpunk.
