Fuck. I'm mad I didn't go now, but at the same time I'm really not a big outdoor show fan. Oh well. Next time.

Matt’s been a pretty boring performer for quite awhile, honestly. Hardly even moves around the stage, if at all. He’s pretty stationary. Dan is a little better though.

 

yeah they were pretty alright, dan sounded better than matt but overall better than i expected but nothing spectacular.

If the new material is as strong as their 2020 EP then I’m HYPED. Minds Like Minefields is better than most of their last few records alone.

 

I’m still floored we got Smokestack. That was half a song that Dan did solo acoustic at the Milky Christmas show back in like 2002 or something like that. So cool to get a fully fleshed out version

 

Cursed is elite Trio. Especially Matt's songs after three albums where Dan really outdid him

 

Extremely excited for new Alk3. Hopefully next year.

 

Yea Demon & Division is pure perfection

 

Dan has outdone Matt on every album since FHTI imo….GM was the last album that was close, and Dan barely squeaked it out there…from then on his songs are way better IMO..only exceptions for me are This Addiction being a weaker album for both of them (but Dans still better), and ITTC where I really wasn’t a huge fan of Dan’s output on it. The title track is gold and might be my favorite on the album, but the rest of his songs are pretty meh for me. Stay is decent but I thought he did better versions of that song on MSIT and the Broken Wing EP. Little Help was another solo acoustic song of his that I think I would have liked better had they kept it acoustic.

I also wasn’t hugely into his latest solo either…it’s weird because I’ve been a Dan Stan for a lonnnnng time. But something about the sound he’s been going for ever since Party Adjacent just hasn’t been my thing. Some of his lyrics have become a little different for me too, but can’t put my finger on it exactly. Still super excited to hear what he brings to newest Trio record though

 

Cursed has a few jams but it’s pretty forgettable for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Cursed is very strongly in the 2nd spot for me.

 

Pretty easy third for me. If I listen to Trio lately it's almost always FHTI, Mourning or Cursed

 

Mine typically goes Mourning, Cursed, A&I. FHTI is usually up there too.
