Yeah it definitely seems like he's not in the band anymore. Would be a huge bummer, but if it's for his mental health I understand

 

They haven’t announced a new full time member as far as I know. I think the drummer role may just become more fluid. As you said, Derek decided to take care of his health which is important.

A fluid drumming situation would make sense with the number of projects these guys have on the go.

Me too. Derek has a such a finesse in his drumming and I miss watching him play, even if it is just me watching fan videos lol.

I’m happy I got to see him play on NYE a couple years ago.

 

I feel like Derek took the band to a different level, if it weren't for Derek I don't think we would have got Good Mourning or Crimson. I feel like Derek was just more well rounded than Glenn or Mike.

 

He definitely did. Especially with Crimson and I'd even say A&I.

Should be getting warmer around these parts so its almost time to spin My Shame Is True!
