It is more of the driving to Worcester which I hate ... especially when the show ends driving back like 50-60 minutes home with work in the morning (since bands ALWAYS play on a weekday or sunday haha). This one would be ideal ... just unsure if I will end up going to this.
Sound is the only issue for me with Palladium. I can't make out vocals most of the time there. But some of my favorite shows have been there so I'm partial to the venue
What's the short story of the Derek stuff, I didn't realize he was possibly not in the band currently
The last time I heard anything about him was that he was battling a bi polar disorder, a couple months ago Dan ran into him in Detroit.
Similarly to Chris Wollard’s move to stop touring w/ HWM due to his mental health, I commend Derek for being smart enough to step away when he knew it was best for himself. He is such an incredible talent, and I hope he’s still a recording member at the very least — touring is a whole other beast, and as someone with BPD, I can’t imagine the strain and anxiety one must go through when you’re constantly on the go, changing scenery, meeting new people. It’s fucking overwhelming! Dan and Matt were born to do it, and all I hope is Derek is happy and peaceful with his decision — but please keep drumming on records, D! He’s up there with Neil Peart for me; just an amazing showman who has a real ear for melody.
