Matt and Dan have both said fairly recently that writing is underway for new Trio. I don't think they would have said that if it wasn't true, because they know how badly Trio fans want a new album. I trust in Matt's ability to multitask.

Do you guys think they’ll record this summer for a fall release? That would be perfect.

 

I hope they will. But in my experience stuff like that takes time, so I wouldn't expect it to be released until next year.

 

And I'm fine with that, I want the best album possible.

 

What other reasons would he be staying in Cali though ? I don't wanna get my hopes up.

 

He just played some shows with the Hause’s out there, it is possible that they decided to put a record or EP together...they seem to get along well and Dave Hause did back up vocals for Dan on Waiting By Myself

 

Well I know someone that went to the birthday bash and they asked Dan and he said he's staying to start the Trio record. I'm just trying not to get super excited

 

Not to mention they did Falcon stuff together a few years ago. Not that the falcon would be the reason since it’s mostly a Brendan thing.

 

I feel like that tweet was purposefully trying to drop a big hint. It's gotta be Trio. If it's not, I'll settle for anything Dan-related. Also, I'm sure the three of them have been compiling ideas on their own over the past five years, so I'm sure they have a lot of material to choose from.

 

I was listening to the 2nd Emergency Room record the other day for the first time in a long time, and it really is fantastic and very well produced by Jeff Rosenstock.

That came out way back in 2015 so even a follow-up to that would be welcomed.

 

Past Lives comes out this month. Should hold me over until the new record. I wouldn’t be surprised if they already have stuff written and will work them out. Especially since Skiba said he had songs he wrote for Blink but didn’t use bc they sounded like Trio.

 

At least it wasn't tweeted April 1st lol. But yeah Dan knows everyone knows where Matt is. And the dots trailing off. If it's not Trio, it's almost mean to tweet that haha

 

Don't Have A Thing is my favorite song on that album.

 

You know regardless of the hint from Dan things have been kind of hush hush. I'm just waiting for Matt to post another picture on IG of him and the boys.

I want lots and lots of shared vocal duties on this album, please. Like their version of The Lawrence Arms’ Oh! Calcutta!

 

Matt, Dan, and Derek should each have lead vocal duties on the next album.

 

Derek has such a nice voice too.

 

Got to see Larry Arms this past Wednesday....Calcutta's songs are always best part of the show

 

Im surprised we haven't gotten any Past Live tracks leading up to this release. 18 days.
