I admire you’re strength! Today is going to be a loooong day but it’ll make tomorrow sweeter

 

So I just read part of Jason’s review and see that ‘Little Help’ uses ‘does anyone know where I can go get high’....holy shit that’s a song Dan has been playing at his solo shows for years now. Was never my favorite but it will be interesting to hear how it has transitioned from folksy acoustic song to full band Alkaline Trio song...and if it’s even the same song or if he just borrowed that particular lyric

 

Goodbye Fire Island, Throw Me to the Lions, & I Can’t Believe are early favorites for me. I’ll listen again later on today and then give it a rest till this weekend. Not a single bad song on the record though.

not going to lie, I don't think I've ever listened to Heavens before today, this is pretty great

 

Definitely one of my favorite albums Matt has been a part of. Top notch vocally and lyrically.

Some of the best Skiba songs in a while.

Dan obviously kills it, he is the king of consistency. Overall, very good album.

 

So I caved this morning and gave it one listen than deleted it. I can't really give my full thoughts on songs until I have the actual album but one thing I'll say is that rythem section between Dan and Derek is fan fucking tastic. The chemistry those two have is unreal.

 

"I Can't Believe" is just fucking great.

 

Also Krystalline is such a Sekrets song.

 

I woke up today pumped thinking it was Friday and looked at my phone to listen to the album.... yup only Thursday....

 

I can't download it since no computer but because Iam nerd,found the online stream haha....FUCKING AWESOME

,,Fucking pain away" is my favorite but there is just so much things to discover
Also I was expecting Deryck Whibley feature after first tones of Lions haha...SO GOOD

 

I still think the title track and Demon & Division are the two most unique sounding tracks on the album.

Perfect album for the build up to halloween too.

 

I think the main important thing for me is on this record is the bands chemistry. I mean we always knew they had it but like with how long it's been they are a well oiled machine. A brand spanking new car right off the lot.

 

Throw Me To The Lions was a highlight on second listen. I also came around to I Can't Believe. Goodbye Fire Island musically is sick but I hate the "hey ya" lol

it seems like every time someones like "i dont like this song" the next post is like "that song rules" lol so great album

 

i dont really like "little help." their upbeat pop punky songs like this have always been my absolute least favorite and since agony and irony it seems theres been way more of them than ever before. i listened to crimson yesterday and the slow(er), dark pace that album mostly has just hits the fucking spot for me. the first couple tracks on this had me hooked but little help is definitely losing me. still plenty of album to go yet though.

 

I think Little Help into I Can't Believe is probably the only section of the record I'm iffy about. Sweet Vampires til the end is all gold.

 

This is the best Derek has sounded.

 

Team Little Help. Reminds me of a Dan song that would be on goddammit or something.

I like Little Help, but agree with @Jason Tate that Worn So Thin should’ve replaced it in the sequencing.
