If it's as good as MSIT I will be happy. (I have MSIT as my 3rd favorite album of theirs so I might be expecting too much)

 

That's a weak review.

 

I was excited by the positive view on the record, but sorry it doesn't have as many specific details as some hoped.

 

Lol yeah it sounds like they just reviewed the two singles and said "eh I'm sure the rest of the album is the same" haha

 

If we're following suit with Epitaphs latest trends we'll get one more song a week from today

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they release Demon this week since live vids are out there. Only 9 days out I don't mind if they don't release another though, it's close enough to wait for me now

 

Every Epitaph release, at least that I've been interested in this year has dropped a 3rd song two days before the album release. So we'll see haha

 

Haha interesting. I like Demon from the live vids but I'm still stoked to hear it with the production on the album. I'd like to say I'll wait the two days if it comes out Wednesday but we know I'm lying haha

 

Ugh I was checking Apple Music instantly every midnight this week if they dropped Demon already...damn...just give it to me,Of course I'll overplay it like those two before but I'll have another 10 more tracks to listen before these blend with rest of the album in next months haha GIVE IT TO ME!

 

For anyone going to the shows and are planning on meeting Matt and Danny after don't ask about Derek. They have been getting annoyed and offended when being asked.

 

I just broke and went and listened to one of the live videos, def won't be able to hold back listening to the studio if released before the record haha

 

i don't think i heard why he's not on this tour.....wanna fill me in?

 

They released a statement saying it was due to health reasons.

 

Ah bummer. Hope he's better soon. The show last night was pretty fantastic. Matt lost his voice though so some parts of songs were a little rough but he powered through.

 

I know Derek is battling a serious bi polar disorder, Matt struggled a bit on Sunday as well.

 

Same. Never understood why some people don't like it that much.

 

I didn't pre order anything because fuck Kings Road. I'll just pick up the cd at my local shop.

 

It’s not in my top 5, just because all the records through Crimson mean so much to me, but I definitely think it’s great and was a tremendous return to form.

Just checked my last.fm and I've already listened to Blackbird 86 times and Cursed 62 times...

Most I've overplayed pre-released songs in a long time

 

It was the second full Trio album I ever listened to so not sure if that has anything to do with it but I just love it. FBI is in my top 5 Trio songs, I know it's not a popular pick but I just dig it and think it's a great opener for that album that really sets the tone and you can tell it's a really personal album for them. I think what I like most about it is that it has a somewhat different sound than their other albums but still feels like a Trio album. I think it might be Matt's more 'rock' sound of his Sekret albums mixing in.

Their earlier stuff is kind of hit or miss for me. While I mostly like their albums before FHTI they rank lower for me. Again maybe it's because I started listening to Trio after Matt joined blink.

 

I used to love FHTI, but I revisited it recently and it kinda fell in my ranking. I guess as a kid I didn't mind the godawful drum production and some of the telegraphed lyrics (Mr. Chainsaw, haha).

Good Mourning is my favorite though!

 

I love how the drums sound on FHTI. Nothing about that album I dislike lol

 

Yeah I love FBI, one of my favorite openers. Very excited that they’re playing it and Warhol on this tour. Agreed about the Sekrets sound creeping in as well. I think all of Matt’s songs are very strong on this album and the most consistent he’s been since Crimson. A lot of his lyrics since Good Mourning had lacked that personal touch and I’m glad he returned to that.

I still love Infirmary but goddamn you’re right those drums sound terrible.

 

I can’t unhear how awful the cymbals sound haha
