Some pretty shitty stuff came out about Asia Argento who he seems to be good friends with and I wouldn't be surprised if that had anything to do with him not being social yesterday

But there's tons of good stories of fan interaction with Matt to give him the benefit of the doubt. Someone flipped out a couple weeks ago about him not acknowledging her before the show in the FB group and it was ridiculous lol

I'm absolutely not mad or anything ! I'm giving the benefit of the doubt as well considering I've met him numerous times. I just thought it was interesting.

I wonder if things aren't as great in the Trio camp as Matt and Dan say it is. It still seems like blink is Matt's #1 priority and Trio will be pushed to the backburner again once blink is done with their new album.

I don't think that's the case. I bet we get another Trio tour in the Spring/Fall next year.

Blink will definitely tour in the Summer

Honestly if this album does awesome they may very well have to do another tour. When I'm not entirely sure

Yeah, that’s pretty messed up about being a victim in case, and a separate case being the accused or whatever in another. Maybe Matt just figured to stay clear on any comment or was personally distracted beyond hbing a good show.

Never met these guys, but but they seem likeable. I wasn’t assuming anyone was mad, but maybe it caught attention because it was out of the norm.

Is it weird I've never heard of Asia Argento ?

Yeah the one time I waited around to meet them, Matt hung out longer while Dan only chatted for a few seconds before heading into the bus.

They are also human and are probably exhausted from playing a nearly two hour set every night, haha.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

I don't fault them for not wanting to stick around. Shit, if I was in their shoes, I'm probably just head straight to the bus.

Yeah the mindset that these people owe anyone anything is always wild to me.

If you caught me minutes after work on any given day, yikes.

Last year Frank Turner, who was sick and brutally exhausted, came over and chatted with us after a show. Even though it was incredibly kind to come over and talk to us, I just saw the exhaustion in his face and can see why someone during a long tour and after a 2 hour show may just wanna hit the bus and sleep.

Yeah I wouldn’t read into this at all. Not out of the ordinary for a touring band. Also, when I saw them in 2013, Dan had to duck out and Matt stuck around. The only difference I guess is that Dan told us he had to go.

Matt has been coming out almost every night and he stops for just about every fan he's ran into during the day before shows as well. I don't know why people want to continue the narrative that he's becoming a dick or that the band isn't getting along because once out of every 5 times he doesn't come out.

Talking fans after shows is great marketing, entertainment for artists, and a way to gauge feedback. Not every band will wanna take the time to do that every night, or really, even have the people skills.

I’m sure they’ve all had turn off moments when meeting fans, but sometimes it can be a gear foundation builder.

    Aaaaanyways!

Boston show on Saturday was pretty solid. Crowd was a weird mix.
There was one drunk guy who came up to me and was like "Hey man what's up!" I assumed it was someone from high school because that tends to happen at shows, so I engaged. Then he just started spewing some misogynistic nonsense, laughed with his friends, and ran off.

Before Alkaline started playing, he came up to me again and yelled saying along the lines of "Let's hear it for tits, man, right?!"
I blankly stared at him and said no. He got offended and said "What, no?! Why?!"
At this point I just didn't care and said "I'm a raginng HOMO and don't care. That's why."
He didn't stay for any further conversation.

For clarification, I am an out queer, married man. Wasn't being homophobic, but wanted this fool away from me.

Was it this shirtless guy yelling ,,DOPE TITTIES!" before, during and after show?

I had to leave that group after a while. Way too much negativity.

It could be worse. They could not come out at all and instead charge nearly $600 for meet and greets. *cough cough*

This. It almost seems like people WANT drama between Matt and Dan at this point. Matt can't make a move without people trying to read into it, it's so old. Like let the guy live for christ sake people.

Why can't people just be stoked and satisfied with the fact that the band is touring and releasing a new album? There's no reason to speculate or stir up drama entirely on baseless assumptions. Matt and Dan are more than generous with their time, and at shows in the past, it's never been entirely difficult to find them in the back and say hi, give 'em a hug, etc.

God forbid a musician be human and possibly be exhausted, not feeling well, what have you. This band owes me nothing -- if anything, I owe them!
