Yeah I wish they'd play Take Lots With Alcohol and some Agony cuts like Help Me or Calling All Skeletons but I'm pretty happy with the setlist, especially with this being my first Trio show.
This sounds dumb but I'm happy they aren't doing Take Lots because Derek is an absolute monster on it.
My dream setlist would look something like this This Could Be Love Blackbird In Vein She Lied to the FBI Private Eye Mercy Me Emma * new song * Hell Yes I'm Only Here to Disappoint I Found Away We've Had Enough Fine * new song* Continental Sadie --- ENCORE --- Time to Waste Into the Night (Dan on vocals) Warbrain Radio
I'm bored so based on 22 songs last night: We've Had Enough Blackbird Goodbye Forever Emma All On Black I Found Away Is This Thing Cursed Blue Carolina Armageddon Fuck You Aurora I Lied My Face Off Continental Every Thug Needs A Lady Nose Over Tail Maybe I'll Catch Fire Demon and Division Take Lots With Alcohol Fine Time To Waste Warbrain Crawl Radio I think We've Had Enough makes a good opener and I'll stick with the three new ones they thought best lol
We've Had Enough Blackbird Burn In Vein All On Black I Found Away Is This Thing Cursed? Blue Carolina Armageddon Fuck You Aurora Time To Waste Help Me This Could Be Love Mercy Me Do You Wanna Know? Maybe I'll Catch Fire Clavicle Dethbed Calling All Skeletons Warbrain Demon And Division Radio I would Love this setlist so much I would want it to marry me.
Found my note from their May '09 show I went to, was an interesting setlist My Friend Peter If We Never Go Inside Burn Fatally Yours Donner Party I'm Dying Tomorrow I Found Away Tuck Me In Cooking Wine The Poison Sadie Calling All Skeletons One Hundred Stories The KKK Took My Baby Away All In Black Cringe This Could Be Love Radio
I’m gonna try to hold out on hearing the title track until I see them, but I’ll probably cave in before then.
setlist was the same I believe, from the facebook group posts anyway. Demon and Division hasn't been played on either night, apparently because Matt "wasn't up to it" according to Dan, wonder what the story is there
Idk why it bugs me, but I wish matt would play a black/red jaguar or just bring back his black/red GPC. Especially for Alkaline Trio haha.
Yeah, just saw them twice. Jarrod is a great drummer but he's a lot more aggressive and less technical than Derek. It was a bit jarring at times. Derek's finesse and stellar fills that serve as an accompaniments that make the song sound fuller and even more melodic are greatly missed. Jarrod playing feels like you're getting punched in the chest through out the set.
Maybe Demon and Division is just high for Matt, and it's not like he's been playing a TON of shows since the surgery. Luckily, the Sayreville show isn't for another 11 days so maybe he'll be ready by then.
