Addiction is the weakest for sure. Not bad but it's the only album I sub the b-sides in for other songs and the track list has never felt like it flows great to me. But it's just not cohesive in general
Just listened to the new single and wow this album is gonna be fantastic. I loved ITTC, so I have high hopes for this one! Also, interesting they moved to Rise. Wonder what happened with Epitaph?
I do love the music video, and that's despite me thinking zombies have been super played out for awhile
This Addiction is so wild because that run from Draculina to Dorothy is some of their worst material ever but then it closes with Fine, which is potentially their best song
At this point I think we’re all afraid to ask questions related to production. BUT, why does this bands music always sound a little muddled? Is that just their thing?
Breaking: person that has written probably over 200 pop punk songs has used the same note in multiple songs lol
“My mom worked for years as an emergency room nurse,” explains Matt of the album and song name. “She and her co-workers referred to exceptionally busy nights as ‘blood, hair, and eyeballs’. Well, we’ve been busy making an exceptional record we refer to as Blood, Hair, And Eyeballs, too "
We need a new Danny closer to add to the stellar list of Crawl, Smoke, and Fine. Hoping we get it this time.
Really dig this song after multiple listens. Now, I’m no expert in production, but I just turned this song on after finishing the new Menzingers record and man this song sounded so small in comparison. I even went back and listened to Demons and Divisions and then turned this on. Same deal. It’s like the song didn’t fill up my headphones. A little bit bummed about that.
The mastering just sounds really overcompressed on the new song. You can hear a bit of clipping when the bass/guitars first come in.
Chorus to this has been stuck in my head since first listen Skiba’s song writing just really works for me.
