The song fucking rules. Haven’t been so stoked for Trio since 2008 I guess. Brilliant, excellent track

 

I think A&I and TA are the only albums I don’t love. (Like a good chunk of both) and MSIT and ITC have some of the best Trio songs.

 

I wasn’t too big on Shame or Cursed aside from a few tracks and Addiction/Agony are half killer half filler for me.

However, when they released that BANGER of an EP in 2020 I thought they were coming back with their best material to date, and maybe they still are? This song doesn’t show me that though. It seems safe and I hate the production/mixing on it too.

 

The three album run of Infirmary, Mourning, and Crimson is peak ALK3 to me. I imagine that will forever be the case.

See for me I gotta add A&I in there as a 4th. It usually sits at their 3rd best behind GM and FHTI for me. Only song on there that's a dud for me is Live Young Die Fast

 

TBF, Dan had been sitting on Smokestack (or some version of it) from the EP since 2000 or 2001 haha

 

Radio Violence is one of the best Trio songs I've heard in a long time.

I would rank it 5th behind Maybe I’ll Catch Fire for sure but songs like Help Me, I Found Away, and Live Young Die Fast that hold the record back IMO. Still a solid record for sure but not as strong as the ones that came before it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think this addiction is the only truly weak album. AI isn’t the best but has some absolute heaters on it.
