    gravity comes to us all

All great picks. Gotta have some Heavens in there though for peak Skiba spookiness.

    Here's a tough one, what's everyone's favorite solo album?

    Hurricane Season
    Babylon
    Party Adjacent
    Dear Darkness
    Kuts

Top two and bottom two pretty close though, could arguably flip

    definitely Hurricane Season, perfect album

Fun fact, I’ve seen them preform Fire Down Below in 2007 at warped tour. Only time they ever played it

Hurricane Season def the best solo album. Really wish Dan would go back to that man with a guitar sound

Instrumentally speaking, Meet Me is pretty solid (especially on bass), but man… I really don’t like the lyrics hahah

Guys, the bathroom here is nuts

Party Adjacent by a mile. Everyone should make a record with Jeff Rosenstock.

It's really great, I think it fades a bit by the end, but the best stuff is so good

I hate Meet Me specifically for the “eye-e-eye-e-eyes” part because when I was in 8th grade a classmate made a cassette with him singing over programmed Casio beats and one of his songs, She’s Ripping Out My Eyes, featured the following lyrics:

    “She’s ripping out my eye-e-eye-e-eyes
    She’s a devil in dis-guy-e-eye-e-uise”

Psyched to see Trio next month. I just saw TBS at the venue they're playing, my first time there, and it had the best sound of any place I've been

Oakdale Dome or whatever they call it is great to see concerts. You can have a great view from anywhere and are also really close to the stage without being forced to stand shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of people. I only saw AVA there in like 2010 and had a great view from the side and literally no one was near me.

There’s also a secretish side entry/exit from the parking lot too so you don’t have to be stuck in traffic trying to leave the main entrance.

Yeah it was great. Was out of the parking lot in ten minutes after the show ended. Can def see me going there a lot for anyone I'd be moderately interested in seeing. Takes about 50 minutes to get there and it's a pretty straight shot

I felt like Kuts was so good & got overshadowed by Skiba joining blink that year.

I honestly think all the solo albums are pretty great, but the first from each of them are just that slight bit better

100%. I bet Skiba was gonna tour with that record too, but immediately had to go into Blink mode.

Ah this makes me happy to hear. I’m seeing Underoath there next month and considering seeing Knocked Loose there in November. About a 70 minute drive from me but was worried about the parking situation

Sorry guys, I know this is a huge minority opinion on this site but I just like Skiba as a songwriter significantly more than Dan, I enjoy a Skiba song over a Dan song 9 times out of 10. This includes solo albums too

Not to say I don't like Dan but Skiba is one of my favorite songwriters ever

original flavour Skiba is one of my favourites too but my god was he checked out for about 10 years there whereas Dan has just gotten better with age

Dan was def shining more like Agony through Shame but average Skiba is still better than most. Skiba definitely saved his best stuff for his Sekrets albums during that time. He fully crushed it on the last two though.
