Also very interested in knowing more about the 3 unreleased songs but totally understand if slimfenix182 ruined it for the class

All I think when I hear three unreleased songs is "more Derek."

This does remind me that Gaslight Anthem, Thrice, Alkaline Trio and Rise Against was a tour. What a lineup. Also got Agony & Irony signed at that show

So this guy in the Trio fan group works for NASA and works on the space ships and goes to space and all that good stuff. He’s a huge Trio fan and became good friends with Matt and said Matt sent him three unreleased songs called Are you even here, At Sickness and Sacrifice

hope at least one of those 3 unreleased songs is a Dan song (really hoping it's at least 2), cause his songs on this are so damn good.

Yeah, Alk3 had no real radio hits & Gaslight got popular at the right time with getting added to playlists & such. I just thought they could be 10x bigger but it was a weird time for alternative bands. The lyrics probably keep Alkaline Trio off a lot of store/restaurant playlists lol.

and now I see they're playing Stadium Series, which is unbelievably cool.

    Listened to this again record today and my ranking of songs are;

    1. Teenage Heart
    2. Hot For Preacher
    3. Bad Time
    4. Break
    5. Versions Of You
    6. Shake With Me
    7. Hinterlude/Broken Down in a Time Machine
    8. Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs
    9. Scars
    10. Meet Me

These are great songs and the only ones I feel slightly meh on is Meet Me and Scars.

Gimme light, gimme love, gimme fire

    I’m not terribly different.

    1. Teenage Heart
    2. Hot For Preacher
    3. Bad Time
    4. Shake With Me
    5. Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs
    6. Break
    7. Scars
    8. Versions of You
    9. Hinterlude/Broken Down in a Time Machine
    10. Meet Me

Versions of You and Meet Me have some really cool parts but as overall songs, they’re low for me.

Finally got around to some dedicated listens the last few days and, as someone who never really listened to them back in the day outside of Crimson, I think they’re on a great 3 album tear. New record is to me the most consistent of the 3, no skips, but might actually have the lowest highs. Nothing here that gets me as pumped as young lovers, demon and division, or heart attacks. Love the more old school guitar work though.

Crazy to me how low everyone has Meet Me. One of my favorites on the album haha. The only gripe I have with it is it has two or three chances to really hit a high powerful part near the end and instead they kept opting to keep it in the same octave. Matt even gets loud for one line before reverting back. Total blue balls there.

I still can't believe that tour happened. I was fortunate enough to see two different dates, and it's still one of my favorite concert memories ever.

That’s sick. I remember watching that dvd in high school all the time at my buddies house.

Skiba is from my hometown, so he was basically God to us.

Yeah it feels weird not liking a track #2 very much on an album of theirs but here I am. It’s just okay to me.
